This Detroit Diesel 6-71 fuel injector
was used as a sales tool by the representatives of the various
GM divisions selling diesel engines. In the 1930s and early 1940s,
the concept of a unit fuel injector was new to most customer personnel.
These injectors were furnished to salesmen in a leather case,
along with flash cards for doing a technical talk, and a set of
tools for taking the injector apart.
